How To Look After Your New Extensions

Cleanse

Brush your hair extensions gently before shampooing to ensure it is tangle free.
Lather shampoo gently from roots to ends, making sure to clean around the tapes/i-tips thoroughly.
Rinse and repeat 2-3 times if necessary.
Don't use a rough scrubbing motion, this can cause tangling and matting.

Condition & Nourish

Squeeze out excess water before applying conditioner throughout mid-lengths and ends.
Use our nourishing mask weekly to keep hair hydrated and tangle free.
Avoid contact with anywhere near root area as this may damage the tapes/i-tip bonds.
Leave conditioner/mask in for at least 3-5 minutes before rinsing thoroughly.

Hydrate & Protect

Blow-Dry

Always use the medium or cool setting to dry the roots of your hair extensions. This prevents the tapes from melting and becoming sticky, or i-tips from softening and shedding.
Section your hair with clips and start underneath.
Use your hairdryer to blow-dry, making sure the air is ALWAYS flowing downwards
Use a hairbrush for a smooth, tangle free result.

Colour

Do NOT allow any spf, tan, make-up or chemicals to be in contact with your extensions as they will most likely discolour and staining can be difficult to remove.
If you have a high mineral content in your water, you may experience discolouration and/or dry, tangly hair. Talk to your stylist about how to prevent this.
Studio Hair extensions are coloured using natural pigments and can fade over time. A regular toning treatment will help keep your colour stable.
